I was very shocked to hear of Beth's passing. My deepest condolences to Charlie, Jenny, and all her family, loved ones, and friends. I shall always remember her as a friend who "told it like it was". I never spent time with her that I didn't feel better about the world and appreciate her sense of humor, laughter, and her capacity to make the world a more enjoyable place! Although many years have passed since I last had the privilege of seeing her, I will miss her. The world is a better place because of her time with us.

I moved to San Manuel in the spring of 1958 from the panhandle of Texas as the school year was winding down. I had never been to Arizona before and knew no one. I had been introduced in my classes. Beth was in some of the classes.
I went to a Friday night dance in the high school cafteria, attended by most of the classmates. I had never been to a dance before and had never danced. I stood on the side lines as a wall flower all the evening until here comes Beth. She grabed me by the arm and said " we're going to dance". I said " I don't know how to dance". She said "Just get out here and move your feet". A wonderful friendship began that night that has lasted a lifetime.I became a regular at the Wilson Place hanging out, riding horses, laughing, bonding for life.
We will so miss her laugh, her smile, her witt, her humor, and her love. She has been the glue that has held the "class of 61 " together for all these years. We love you Beth. ("Chico")

Missing You |

To have known Beth was a rare priviledge. She always was willing to listen to a problem and in her down to earth way she usually gave a common sense remedy. With Beth there were no highs and lows in her aooroach to people. She was just Beth. We have lost one of the good ones and I know the good Lord welcomes those kind. Godspeed Beth, I will miss you.

Beth had such a wonderful since of humor that she showed every day of her life. She knew I was extremely shy, so she gave me a bumper sticker that read "Flat chested women are beautiful too". I didn't have the nerve to put it on my car. I told her I didn't want to adverise the fact that I wasn't well endowed and she called me a chicken. Beth, thank you for the laughs that made me feel better at the end of each day. I love you girlfriend.

One of the great memories I have of Beth dates back to the middle '80s. One day I put sign on the front door of the hardware store stating that we would be closed for the month of June unless we found someone who is honest, dependable, friendly, responsible, hardworking, etc. A few days later Charlie read the sign and told me I should talk to Beth. She came by and we talked about what would be expected of her and then the subject of salary came up!!! At that time $3.00 per hour was the going rate. I asked her what she would like to be paid. She said, "I'd Like $5.00 (pause) you don't know me, but I'm worth it". Well, we left and came back in July. One of the first things we discovered was Beth had to get a hug from customers before she would wait on them. And best of all, we acquired a bunch of new customers.
"Bether, you were a wonderful asset to our business as well as our friendship"

She Lives On in Our Hearts |

The memories of summers at Aunt Erma's and Grannie's when you and Beth came to visit are priceless. Her personality and always positive attitude made a big impression on my life. She was so much fun to be around, and I know you all will miss her dearly. She will forever be in our heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Love you,
Susan |
A Dear Dear Friend from forever |

Dear Charlie,
My heart has been with you, Travis and Jason and Dove all along. All of you and Jenny were so very present for Beth during her passage taking such good care. We will all miss her so much. The memory of Beth we will hold in our hearts forever. Words are not enough-not nearly enough for a farewell. But they are all we have to say goodbye and god speed. Beth was a glorious friend who departed and the sun that warmed and brightened our lives has set. All of her friends are poorer because of her leaving this earth and our loss. I hope you find comfort in what people are giving of themselves. You know that I am always there for you guys and your extended family. Love and God Bless you all.

Sweet incentive to endure the evil to come |
August 4, 2010 |
"1 The righteous perish, and no man takes it to heart: and merciful and kind are taken away, none considers that the righteous are taken away from the evil to come. 1805 Sometimes early departures from this age are to escape the evil ahead and prepare the saved for the age to come.
2 He shall enter into shalom: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in His Righteousness. 1806 Eternal life following Yahushua our Righteousness." -Isa. 57:1-2 RSTNE

Our Golden Girl |
August 4, 2010 |
All words are empty and hollow
tears and sorrow in a swirl
our hearts will forever mourn her
we have lost our Golden Girl.
We see the huntress with her rifle
the cook with flour everywhere
the friend so strong and steadfast
a style with her own flair.
The mother gently rocking
the lover in her bed
the pal with a cup of coffee
and a slice of fresh warm bread.
Our hearts are surely broken
she was our rare yet simple pearl
her laughter now is silent
we all miss our Golden Girl.

Beth is a great person,
Even when we knew she must be in a lot of pain. When we would ask "How are you" she woul always respond. I'm doing fine How are you?
I never heard her complain. She smiled a lot & was able to draw a smile from everyone we knew. Beth, your suffering & pain are gone. Now we will grieve for not having you here to cheer us on when we are down. I 'll also miss your bisquits & gravy.Charlie we love you
